"I wouldn't have become a professional actor as quickly as I did had I not studied with Beth Bedee in high school."

My respect, love and commitment to excellence in my work is connected to her. As a young thespian, she embraced my talents and challenged me to go beyond my comfort zone. As a 16-yr-old drama student, I was training at a collegiate and professional level. When I went to Tisch, I felt my skill level was ahead of my peers because of Beth’s advanced teachings and my experiences performing and competing theatrically under her direction.  I believe any young actor who is fortunate enough to work with Beth is getting the absolute best there is. She was and has been absolutely instrumental in my development as an actor in both my preparation and performances still to this day. Anyone who is thinking about a career on stage or screen should work with Beth, she is a big reason why I’m where I am today, and if I could go right back to being 16-years-old taking my very first drama class with her and start all over again, I would. I loved it that much.

Addison Vaughn, 2020 graduate

Beth Bedee has been a pivotal figure in my theatre journey. As a young high schooler, I was desperate for an experienced mentor in theatre arts, and I have been so lucky to work under Ms. Beth. With her guidance, I have grown as a performer in my technique and confidence. She has given me amazing opportunities and is the reason I have been accepted to the BFA Theatre program of my dreams. Without Ms. Beth I would not have been able to develop my experience in diving into characters and bringing the most to a performance. She is excellent at supporting actors and providing an open environment where actors can take chances and develop advanced ideas. For anyone who is truly serious about learning the seriousness of acting and drama, Ms. Beth is the perfect teacher. The depth she applies to real theatre will bring any young performer to a full maturity in their art.

Ms. Beth started teaching acting at my daughter’s dance studio in 2016. Since then the classes have evolved  into very high level theatre program, from smaller acting pieces to the production of entire plays she directed. She is extremely good at what she does! She has an extraordinary eye for discovering the talent you didn’t know you had. She picks out the best and very age appropriate acting pieces for performances. They always score high at the competitions. Ms. Beth also gets highest awards as a director! She matches the actors to the roles perfectly. I’ve seen her work from the beginning til the final product up-close by  watching the rehearsals. The transformation from almost nothing making sense (to me) to getting to see the final version is amazing! Ms. Beth is a rare find in Citrus County. They are very lucky to have her. If you are considering drama, she is the one to go to! She is the highest level professional in the field. You should really feel lucky to call her your teacher.

She is nice, but works kids hard and makes good suggestions to make the acting pieces strong. She is a very good teacher.

Beth is the ultimate perfectionist, with a strict and loving hand. She is professional and is able to get her students to see a vision and make it appear, on the stage. With her educational background, she has the skills and strategies to teach new concepts.  Beth is skilled. knowledgeable, and has a kind heart. I would highly recommend her to ANY new actor, as well as seasoned actors trying to hone their craft. We look forward to continue to work with Beth, in the future.
